What: This annual festival offers visitors a chance to revel in the city to the soundtrack of some of the most distinctive and celebrated compositions from Mozart’s repertoire. Centered around the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, the event also hosts guest conductors, concert stagings and choral performances.

Why: Don’t miss the provocative staging of Don Giovanni, co-produced by Budapest Festival Orchestra and Müpa Budapest.

Louvre, Abu Dhabi

When: Late 2017.

What: The much-anticipated Louvre Abu Dhabi is set to open in the upcoming months and although a date is yet to be disclosed, it will undoubtedly be worth the wait.

Why: Designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, the museum resembles a hovering spacecraft, with a gigantic woven-metal dome that will cast an ever-changing ‘rain of light’.

Chicago, SummerDance

When: June 23 to September 10, 2017.

What: Whether you have rhythmic intuition or two left feet, Chicago SummerDance celebrates busting a move, no matter your skill. Taking place in Grant Park, the 4,900-square-foot open-air dance floor was designed by Chicago artist Dan Peterman.

Why: Swing, waltz, tango or simply sit back and enjoy the music.
