The Coburg Brasserie

Located in the heart of Ireland’s capital, the Conrad Dublin hotel is inspired by the natural spaces of both Iveagh Gardens and the gardens of St. Stephen’s Green. The result is an urban hotel that feels surprisingly earthy.
Dubliners love nothing more than great conversation over a drink or two, and Conrad Dublin is rapidly making a name for itself as a stylish social hotspot with an intriguing design story to tell, following a major interior overhaul that has brought it a new lease of luxury life in this thriving Irish metropolis.

Chris Webb, Senior Director of Interior Design EMEA, Hilton Group, reveals the thinking behind the new look: “The Conrad Dublin celebrates the subtleties and hidden beauty of Dublin’s rich vernacular. From references to the charming Iveagh Gardens with its diverse and chequered history, to the characters conjured by Jonathan Swift, the hotel interior [is] softly steeped in this rich and elegant tapestry …”

The lobby was inspired by the vision of Ninian Niven (architect of the Iveagh Gardens) and draws on the beauty of the rosarium— an elegant Victorian folly. References to nature abound throughout the hotel, and locally sourced materials, such as Irish riven limestone, echo this sentiment.

At Lemuel’s Lounge Bar, the tables are based on the design of the marbled book bindings and covers of Jonathan Swift’s famous works. Guests will also spot an ornate cast metal map above the seating groups, which depicts the locations from Gulliver’s Travels. Time to start planning your next trip, adventurers.
